Well, this is it, guys. The free SSC-32s have all been given away to good homes as of February 9, 2010. Thanks to all who claimed one! Take good care of it, and remember: don't feed it after midnight!

Hey guys,

We just got a shipment of shiny new SSC-32 servo controllers in, and we want to share the robot-electronic-goodness with all of you!

So, we're giving away 100 of them, free of charge! For orders of over $125, the first hundred people who enter "Gimme a Free SSC!" into the Customer Comments field when placing an order will get one!

Yay! :D

Now, the Boring Stuff: This is NOT a "Promotion Code"! If you try to enter it in the Promotion Code field, it won't do anything, and you won't get your awesome free SSC-32! We won't be able to accept emailed claims after the order's been placed! The secret code MUST be placed in the Customer Comments field of an order of at least $125 (after all sale discounts and not counting shipping) to apply! One per customer!

I will edit this post when this promotion is over! Until I say otherwise, you can still get your free SSC-32 by following the instructions here!

Unfortunately this short term deal is not transferable through distributors. They really do their own thing. Sorry

its not a problem for me. i was merely asking for myself just to see how extensive this offer is, and for others. i tend to buy my parts in small transactions so please dont feel bad.

great deal tho.

Unfortunate for me, the shipping cost is still to high to justify any purchase :(

I agree with the poster who said the shipping costs are too high! I would order more -- and more often -- if you would ship USPS Priority mail with no signature required. UPS and fedex not only cost more, they always try to deliver while I am at work -- can't just leave it because a signature is required, so I end up having to drive out to their place to pick up my parts, which means it takes LONGER to get stuff :x

Agree, it would be nice to see another option offered. USPS has the "if it fits it ships" option and they supply the boxes for free. I would use this shipping service vs. UPS and I would likely buy more and more often as well.

Here's a price list of package weight vs. zones

Guys... We would love to offer different shipping options, just as much as you'd love to use them. The problem is with our current store software. It simply doesn't support anything other than UPS.

We are in the process of switching over to a new store platform as we speak. It won't happen overnight; this is a long, time-intensive process. However, after we get things settled in our new store, we will finally have the option for different shipping methods.

Until then, guys, there's nothing we can do.
