Any idea on price?

Yes, it's the amount of money we will ask in exchange for the kits, but that's not important right now...

Sorry I was forced to watch Airplane recently. :P Sigh, no I don't know what the price will be yet.

The price will be the cost of production + 100% markup.

Spartan. Please, stop asking about pricing. If we knew, we'd have posted it already. Since we haven't, it's pretty clear that we haven't worked the pricing out just yet. Trust me, we're not withholding information to make you sad. We just don't know yet. You'll know when we know! :(

Just set the projected price at $3,200. That way if the real price is lower, the inqusitive types will have that good "Wow, I'm getting a deal!" feeling.

Here are the panels we're in the process of making for A-Pod. Sorry it took so long, but we are back in new product mode!

great idea to have the extra mounting holes for the boards. being able to mount them either way is a good idea.

I had to make a few changes which will add a little delay. Should have drawing sent for cutting later today or Monday.

FYI, these parts will be made from 6mm expanded PVC, which is roughly half the weight of 6mm ABS iirc. The cutouts will reduce the weight even more. The curvy bits will be made as "skins" with my vacuum molding machine. I was originally going to make it so the battery could be placed in the tail, but am talking myself out of it as the weight will be difficult to manage. I will retain the ability to install the electronics in the body or the tail. Overall the look and feel of A-Pod will be very similar to Kåres original masterpiece!

I have the body and leg parts in transit right now. I should be able to build up the basic hexapod next week. The mandibles and tail are done and I will send off for them early next week. Very exciting times!
