Lynxmotion Tech Support

Hello,
I am installing the Lynxmotion RIOS SSC-32 software on a computer that is used by multiple students. I am testing the program on different user accounts to make sure it works. On the student accounts when i run the program i get a Merge Error. The error message is as follows...
"Unable to merge new configuration. Use BDE Administrator to merge your new configuration."

What i would like to know is, what does this mean? Does this affect the program? How do i prevent this from happening to other user accounts?

I am not familiar with Lynxmotion, and i dont use it at all. This is my first time installing it.

could you try to grant a student account to administrator privilege and test again ?

I gave a student acct administrator rights and the program ran fine

I don't know where RIOS installs, but with other programs sometimes installing the program in another location on the hard drive outside the program directory eliminates having to deal with windows giving individual permissions to run the program.

i reinstalled Rios in C:\Lynxmotion\RIOS SSC-32 and i still recieve the Merge Configuration error

im going to put it back into C:\Program Files

I looked at an older computer that was used for the Engineering class and discovered that Domain Users were set as local admins. So that explains why i am getting the error.
